My Approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative and person-centered, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I support adults in exploring their goals, building skills, and navigating life’s challenges. I work with clients of all backgrounds, including neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ adults, providing affirming, practical guidance tailored to each individual.

One of the primary models I often use in my work is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT focuses on helping individuals create a meaningful life through mindfulness, acceptance, and behavioral change. It shifts the focus from struggling with difficult emotions and thoughts to taking meaningful actions in alignment with your values. Pain is a natural part of life, but learning to make room for discomfort allows you to turn down the volume on difficult thoughts and feelings—helping you move forward with purpose, even in challenging moments. ACT helps by teaching you how to accept difficult emotions, detach from unhelpful thoughts, and take meaningful action.

A key element of my approach is mindfulness—the practice of staying present and intentionally paying attention to your experiences. It allows you to create space between your thoughts and reactions, helping you respond to situations in a more thoughtful and intentional way.

While I often draw from certain models in therapy, I recognize that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each person comes with their own unique circumstances, preferences, and goals. I believe in adapting my methods to what works best for you. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches to meet your individual needs, ensuring that we're always working towards what's most important to you.
